How can I compress a PDF to email it without uploading it anywhere?

Does the text stay selectable?
Yes with the "Automatic" or "Lossless" setting: the PDF is optimised without touching the text. For a scan or a PDF full of photos, Automatic saves the pages as images only when the gain is much bigger; the result always says which method was used.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Processing happens entirely in your browser, on your device. No file is uploaded or stored. You can check: once the page has loaded, disconnect from the internet and the tool still works.
Is there a file size or number limit?
No. Since nothing goes through our servers, there is no quota. The only limit is your device's memory: a computer handles very large files more easily than a phone.
